THE WAY consists of "THREE WAYS" / Paths: Emotion [Hate - Love]; Motive [Self - Others / Evil - Good]; Understanding [Ignorance - Wisdom].

Since the beginning of our time, two of the most difficult non-visible concepts for mankind to comprehend have been:

• The Mind
• God

Why can't we figure out or understand The Mind (Ourselves)? Because we can't see it. Why can't some of us understand - or believe in - God? Because we can't see Him. What do we need in order to help us understand these concepts? We need a visual aid. We need a picture.
 
I have drawn a diagram which visually explains, among other things, both The Mind and God. It is a very simple diagram, but it explains a great deal.
 
Before I explain the diagram, I must first explain how I can physically draw this mental concept. In order to do that, I must define what I believe "life" is about. Life is about the choices we make and the consequences of those choices. Each choice has a consequence from which other choices and consequences evolve. Life is a continuous cycle of choice and consequence; of thinking and doing. The "thinking" occurs mentally in our MINDS and the "doing" occurs physically in the acting upon those choices as our LIVES. This portrays the intrinsic connection between the two thus establishing how both can be represented in the same diagram.
    
To summarize, life is a "journey." A journey of choices and consequences we walk along the "paths of life."   
 
To summarize the diagram, it is initially a 3-dimensional representation of The Mind. It consists of 3 axes or "paths" and basically portrays The Mind as "a box." The 3 axes represent the 3 "paths" of our "journey" of life. Each of us exists somewhere along each of these 3 paths. Each of us is at a different point in our journey and thus a different point on each path. Using these 3 points, we can draw a 3-dimensional "box" which represents our mind. It is not only important for us to determine where we are on each path, but more importantly, the direction that we are facing or traveling on each path as this direction determines whether we have an open or closed mind.
 
God is explained by this diagram in taking the 3 paths to their points of infinity thus explaining God's Mind as the "infinite box" or the "infinite open mind."
 
This diagram not only shows God, it also shows "The Way." It is, in effect, a MAP. Following the 3 axes or "paths" in the "right" direction, towards God, is "The Way."

I've been thinking a lot about the tragic death of Steve Irwin. The emotions that I have felt and observed in others seem to be reminiscent of those when Diana died in 1997. So very, very sad... 
 
A "freak accident." If the stingray's barb had hit him anywhere else, he probably would have lived. It makes you wonder why those that try to do good for this world are taken.
   
Stephen Robert Irwin was born on his mother's birthday on February 2, 1962. That's a lot of 2's... 22/2/62

According to Wikipedia, Steve died shorty after 11:00 AEST, and according to this article, the Emergency Management Queensland Helicopter was called at 11:21. Could Steve's actual time of death have possibly been 11:11? (1:11 UTC.)

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. AEST (01:00 UTC) on 4 September 2006, Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray barb whilst snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef, at Batt Reef, which is located off the coast of Port Douglas in Queensland. Irwin was in the area filming his own documentary, to be called The Ocean's Deadliest, but weather had stalled filming.

Dr Ed O’Loughlin was aboard the Emergency Management Queensland Helicopter which was called from Cairns at 11.21am (AEST). Irwin was being given CPR at Low Isles, off Port Douglas, as the helicopter arrived less than one hour after the incident, but Dr O’Loughlin said nothing could be done to save him.

  
Also, on the CNN Larry King Live program Steve Irwin Remembered which aired the day after Steve's death, Larry King asked John Stainton, Steve's "manager, producer, and best friend" who was with Steve when he died, "Can you tell us what was happening at that moment, John, where you were, what occurred?"

JOHN STAINTON: We were out on a ship on Steve's research vessel called Croc 1, on the Great Barrier Reef just off Port Douglas. We had been shooting a documentary for Animal Planet in the states called Ocean's Deadliest ironically. And we had aboard with us Philippe Cousteau who was the grandson of the famous Jacques Cousteau and Philippe Cousteau to help. He was co-hosting that program.
 
And Steve, we had about two or three days of cloudy bad weather, gale, you know, 15 to 20 knot winds and scattered showers and we had been caged up for a couple days, which Steve is not good with being confined to a boat for any length of time or any particular space of land. And, when the sun came out on yesterday morning, he said to me, "Look, I might just go out and pick up a couple of segments for Bindi new kid show, which we're doing. His daughter Bindi is doing a new show for Discovery Kids next year. And wherever we get the opportunity we pick up quick little stories with Steve for her.
 
And he said, "I'll just take the Rubber Ducky and go out and see if we can get some corral and fish and rays and stuff like that just to do a soft segment for kids. And that was -- I just saw him go off. He had the crew, the boat crew in with him and a cameraman in there. They went off.
 
Philippe and I were still on the boat. And the next thing we heard this call come in out of the ship's radio that there had been an emergency and get a Medivac (ph), Medivac, Medivac.
 
It was a blur as to what was happening. I didn't know who was hurt. I obviously did not think it would be Steve. I had -- I thought he was invincible, you know, that he was never going to be hurt badly ever and it was.
 
When we got to the back of the boat I saw it was Steve lying in the -- in the Rubber Ducky and I can't tell you what happened then. It's a blur from then. I know that we spent the next 15 minutes or more on CPR trying to keep him alive. There was a voice there from a researcher who was onboard saying, "Keep pumping boys. Keep pumping. We know if you can do it, you can keep going, we'll keep him alive. We'll get him help."
 
In the meantime, we'd run our emergency number here to get the Medivac helicopter in. Unfortunately, the only spot that they could land was an island which was probably 20, 30 minutes steaming away from where we were on the reef, so we had to make a high-tailed dash in our boat to get to this island to meet the helicopter. So, it was a pretty desperate time and a horrible event to do and live through.
 
KING: No sign of consciousness at all, John?
 
STAINTON: Larry, in my heart I think he was -- I think he was dead when he was in the Rubber Ducky. I'm sorry.
 
KING: That's all right.
 
STAINTON: I don't think he was alive. I'm sorry.

It all happened very quickly. John said the call came in on the ship's radio that there had been an emergency and to call the Medivac helicopter. They must have called from a radio on the Rubber Ducky as they were bringing Steve back to the boat. John said that when Steve arrived back on the boat they spent the next 15 minutes performing CPR on him but that they had called the Medivac helicopter in the meantime. So it is not exactly clear when the helicopter was called - before or after Steve arrived back on the ship. But it was called at 11:21 and John believes that Steve was not alive in the Rubber Ducky, so it is very possible that his death did occur on - or at least very near to - 11:11.

Japan's oldest man celebrates turning 111 
MIYAZAKI (Kyodo) Tomoji Tanabe, Japan's oldest man, turned 111 on Monday, which fittingly enough was Respect for the Aged Day. Tomoji Tanabe, the oldest man in Japan, celebrates his 111th birthday with a cake at his home Monday. The mayor of Tanabe's hometown of Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture, congratulated him by handing him a bouquet of flowers and a letter of congratulations. "Thanks to all of you," Tanabe said. "I am living. It seems that I will live longer." He then blew out the candles on his birthday cake with his 3-year-old great-grandchild Hikaru. Tanabe lives with his fifth son Motoori, 66, and his wife, Fujiko, 59. He said he gets up at 6 a.m., reads the newspaper and keeps a diary. In Monday's diary entry, he wrote, "The typhoon has calmed."

Helicopter Tragedy: A message from WWF's Director General

Today has been a terrible day for those of us at WWF, for Nepal, and for conservation around the world. We at WWF have lost seven of our colleagues, our friends, in a helicopter crash in Ghunsa, Nepal.
 
These were people who had dedicated their lives to conserving the extraordinary natural resources of Nepal and the Earth. Their deaths are a huge blow.
 
It is a sad day for Nepal, too. The country has lost its Minister of State for Forests and Soil Conservation, the Secretary of that Ministry, the Director General of National Parks and Wild Life Conservation, the Director General of Forests, several of its most distinguished defenders of natural resources and overseas specialists who were champions for conservation in Nepal.
 
Nature conservation in the country will suffer a severe setback.
 
These colleagues and partners were aboard the helicopter on Saturday because they were returning from a trip to Ghunsa, in the mountains of eastern Nepal. They had participated in a ceremony in which the government of Nepal handed over to local communities responsibility for managing the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, a place known for its beauty, biodiversity and rich cultural heritage.
 
The wreckage of the helicopter was found today, after two days of difficult searching, and sadly it appears there were no survivors.
 
Our hearts go out to the families of all the passengers and crew on that flight. We mourn your loss.
 
To the families and friends of Chandra Gurung, Mingma Norbu Sherpa, Harka Gurung, Yeshi Lama, Jill Bowling Schlaepfer, Jennifer Headley and Matthew Preece - we share your grief, and offer our promise that they will not be forgotten and that their work will continue.
 
Since the news broke, WWF has received messages of condolence from around the world, from members, partners, media groups, and other conservation organizations, and from the public.

Jonathan Brandis' Death a Suicide

Jonathan Brandis' death has officially been ruled a suicide, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed Monday. But why the onetime child star took his own life may remain a mystery. Brandis, 27, hung himself two weeks ago but didn't leave a note, stymieing friends and fans as to his motive.

 
Was Jonathan affected by the 11:11 phenomenon? Did he possibly attempt suicide on 11/11 at 11:11?
 
Perhaps a clue pointing to this possibility can be found in the very last project Jonathan had been part of. It was a movie called 111 Gramercy Park. Yes, 111.
 
I also connected with another possible clue...
 
Another cast member of seaQuest DSV was Ted Raimi. Ted Raimi played Joxer on Xena and is brother to Sam Raimi, producer of Xena. Xena was a show that had a great influence/effect on me during the time period after my "awakening" on December 12, 1998. There were many episodes and things going on in that show (and others) that were coincidentally paralleling my own experiences. One example of many was that I had just finished writing my Chapter 9 called The Way and I believe it was that very same day that the Xena episode was entitled The Way. (I see now that this episode aired on February 22, 1999 - 222.)
 
So, was Ted Raimi aware of what was going on? I bet so. When he joined seaQuest did he have conversations with Jonathan concerning this? Was Jonathan affected by this phenomenon that is happening to so many people? These are questions that only Jonathan's family and friends might know the answers to.
 
But if it is true, this is an example of why this phenomenon should be spoken about to the general public. How many people out there are affected by it that have no idea that others are as well? The world should be made aware of it, and those that experience it should do everything they can to let them know that it is happening instead of keeping it silently underground. How many mental illness diagnoses could be prevented? How many suicides?

Well, Shawn, there's that old "perspective" thing again... You think Burt Reynolds was playing Satan, and I think he was playing God. Everything is all a matter of how you look at it, isn't it. (Actually, I saw a preview for this on some show like ET (Entertainment Tonight, not Extra Terrestrial; although, perhaps that is just one of those... connections) and they referred to him as playing God.)
 
As to the opportunity I was referring to, it was the opportunity for us to start talking about this more publicly and loudly, to make the world aware that this is really happening - that it's not just some fictitious X-Files-type thing (oh the irony!). If we can get the world to focus their attention on this greater reality that exists, then maybe terrorism and the war in the Middle East and all other such things won't seem quite so important anymore. Maybe this is our opportunity to help change/save the world by doing so.
 
Our perspective influences the choices we make. These choices result in consequences which in turn create new choices, and on and on... Working backwards, in order to achieve better consequences, we have to make better choices, and in order to make better choices, we have to change our perspective.
 
And what was Burt's/God's advice? "CHOOSE BETTER."

PS After watching this episode, my son found this Calvin and Hobbes cartoon for me:

Another tragic school shooting. There have been so many in the past few weeks. But this one seems even more tragic. Ten young Amish girls between the ages of 6 and 13, all bound and shot in the head execution style.

The focus on God in this incident was so strong, including both the shooter and the victims. The shooter was "filled with so much hate. Hate towards myself. Hate towards GOD." The victims were Amish to whom God is the main focus of their culture. Also, this tragedy occurred on the Jewish "Day of Atonement", Yom Kippur.
    
ALL the girls were from the Paradise township.

That night, the night of October 2, I was again watching television. I was flipping channels and came to one where a movie was just about to begin. I wondered what it was going to be so continued to watch and see. It was Signs with Mel Gibson, a movie about crop circles. I wondered to myself why that movie was on so decided to watch it for awhile. Right away something caught my attention. I had forgotten that the movie takes place in Pennsylvannia, but as the movie opens, there at the bottom of the screen it says... Bucks County, Pennsylvannia.  

 

Then yesterday, October 5, Nate wrote me an email entitled Lamat and talked about that day's latest entry on the earthfiles.com site which linked to this very interesting article about a crop circle:

The first thing that caught my attention was the clock-type diagram at the top of the article. I found it interesting that someone had the similar idea as I did in my Chapter 13.
 
Nate pointed out that the last cycle began in 1618 which is related to PHI - 1.618 - which relates to my birthday which is the PHI day of the year.

This crop circle was reported on August 15, 2006, so perhaps it was created on August 14, my birthday.
 
It says, "The Mayans honored 52-year-cycles as sacred." I will be 52 on December 21, 2012.
 
Because the December 21, 2012 date is the end of the Mayan calendar, the Mayan time-keeping knowledge is a key piece to the puzzle. They have several methods of time-keeping which are separate but connected. This has rekindled my interest to study them more closely to try to see if there is anything to figure out. I've tried before and it is very complicated so I don't know how far I'll get, but I'll let you know if I find anything interesting...
 
Another interesting connection is that Mel Gibson's next movie, Apocalypto, is supposedly about this very subject.

What is the Galactic Alignment?

It is important to define what the Galactic Alignment is in precise astronomical terms. The Galactic Alignment is the alignment of the December solstice sun with the Galactic equator. This alignment occurs as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. Precession is caused by the earth wobbling very slowly on its axis and shifts the position of the equinoxes and solstices one degree every 71.5 years. Because the sun is one-half of a degree wide, it will take the December solstice sun 36 years to precess through the Galactic equator.

The precise alignment of the solstice point (the precise center-point of the body of the sun as viewed from earth) with the Galactic equator was calculated to occur in 1998 (Jean Meeus, Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, 1997).
 
Thus, the Galactic Alignment "zone" is 1998 +/- 18 years = 1980 - 2016. This is "era-2012."

This Galactic Alignment occurs only once every 26,000 years, and was what the ancient Maya were pointing to with the 2012 end-date of their Long Count calendar.

 
I found it very interesting that "the precise alignment of the solstice point with the Galactic equator was calculated to occur in 1998" and that is the exact year this all started happening with me. (See My 11:11 Story.)
 
I also found it amazing that the "Galactic Alignment zone" was calculated to have begun in 1980 and that is the exact year that I calculated The 11th Hour / 11:00 to have begun. (With 11:11 coinciding with December 21, 2012 when "coincidentally" the Winter Solstice occurs at exactly 11:11 am UT AND the Giza Pyramids/Sphinx "clock" aligns with LEO at 11:11 pm Giza time.) Chapter 13 - 11:11.

 
Not only is it amazing that they have a beer called 11-11, but it is also amazing that they chose the lion logo. This symbolizes exactly what I discovered back in 2000 solving the riddle of the Sphinx which I discuss in my Chapter 13 - 11:11. At exactly 11:11 pm Giza time on December 21, 2012, the Winter Solstice, the Sphinx will be gazing at its celestial counterpart, the constellation of LEO, as it will have just completely risen over the eastern horizon.

Just last week I read a disturbing article by Gwynne Dyer in our local newspaper that talked about how the world is now consuming more food than it produces.

How Long Can the World Feed Itself?

We are still living off the proceeds of the Green Revolution, but that hit diminishing returns twenty years ago. Now we live in a finely balanced situation where world food supply just about meets demand, with no reserve to cover further population growth. But the population will grow anyway, and the world's existing grain supply for human consumption is being eroded by three different factors: meat, heat and biofuels.
 
For the sixth time in the past seven years, the human race will grow less food than it eats this year. We closed the gap by eating into food stocks accumulated in better times, but there is no doubt that the situation is getting serious. The world's food stocks have shrunk by half since 1999, from a reserve big enough to feed the entire world for 116 days then to a predicted low of only 57 days by the end of this year.

That is well below the official safety level, and there is no sign that the downward trend is going to reverse. If it doesn't, then at some point not too far down the road we reach the point of absolute food shortages, and rationing by price kicks in. In other words, grain prices soar, and the poorest start to starve.
 
The miracle that has fed us for a whole generation now was the Green Revolution: higher-yielding crops that enabled us to almost triple world food production between 1950 and 1990 while increasing the area of farmland by no more than ten percent. The global population more than doubled in that time, so we are now living on less than half the land per person than our grandparents needed. But that was a one-time miracle, and it's over. Since the beginning of the 1990s, crop yields have essentially stopped rising.

The world's population continues to grow, of course, though more slowly than in the previous generation. We will have to find food for the equivalent of another India and another China in the next fifty years, and nobody has a clue how we are going to do that. But the more immediate problem is that the world's existing grain supply is under threat.
 
One reason we are getting closer to the edge is the diversion of grain for meat production. As incomes rise, so does the consumption of meat, and feeding animals for meat is a very inefficient way of using grain. It takes between eleven and seventeen calories of food (almost all grain) to produce one calorie of beef, pork or chicken, and the world's production of meat has increased fivefold since 1950. We now get through five billion hoofed animals and fourteen billion poultry a year, and it takes slightly over a third of all our grain to feed them.
 
Then there's the heat. The most visible cause of the fall in world grain production -- from 2.68 billion tonnes in 2004 to 2.38 billion tonnes last year and a predicted 1.98 billion tonnes this year -- is droughts, but there are strong suspicions that these droughts are related to climate change.

Moreover, beyond a certain point hotter temperatures directly reduce grain yields. Current estimates suggest that the yield of the main grain crops drops ten percent, on average, for every one degree Celsius that the mean temperature exceeds the optimum for that crop during the growing season. Which may be why the average corn yield in the US reached a record 8.4 tonnes per hectare in 1994, and has since fallen back significantly.
 
Finally, biofuels. The idea is elegant: the carbon dioxide absorbed when the crops are grown exactly equals the carbon dioxide released when the fuel refined from those crops is burned, so the whole process is carbon-neutral. And it would be fine if the land used to grow this biomass was land that had no alternative use, but that is rarely the case.

In South-East Asia, the main source of biofuels is oil palms, which are mostly grown on cleared rainforest. In the United States, a "corn rush" has been unleashed by government subsidies for ethanol, and so many ethanol plants are planned or already in existence in Iowa that they could absorb the state's entire crop of corn (maize, mealies). In effect, food is being turned into fuel -- and the amount of ethanol needed to fill a big four-wheel-drive SUV just once uses enough grain to feed one person for an entire year.

There is a hidden buffer in the system, in the sense that some of the grain now fed to animals could be diverted to feed people directly in an emergency. On the other hand, the downward trend in grain production will only accelerate if it is directly related to global warming. And the fashion for biofuels is making a bad situation worse.

It's only in the past couple of centuries that a growing number of countries have been able to stop worrying about whether there will be enough food at the end of the harvest to make it through to next year. The Golden Age may not last much longer.

This album was made in 1976. I was 15 (1111 in binary) in Grade 9, or 16 in Grade 10, depending upon when in the year it was made. The album is called 2112 - said as Twenty-one Twelve. Did they see the numbers 21 and 12 (these are very common number combinations seen by those who experience the 11:11 Phenomenon) and connect it to possibly meaning the year 2112 ? Or does Twenty-one Twelve connect to the 21st of the 12th month of 2012? Either way, they knew about "something" back then. I found out about it 22 years later in 1998. I was listening to that music in high school. I should have clued in earlier. But maybe 1998 was my time. Sadly, the majority of people still haven't clued in.
 
Note: Three days later on October 21 I was looking through the new TV guide and noticed the move School of Rock was on that night so I watched it. The first thing that caught my ear was the principal's name, Miss Mullins.

• Last week on October 12 I was watching Stargate SG-1 and the episode was A Hundred Days.

  SG-1 is visiting a planet named Edora to view what the Edorans claim to be an annual meteor shower. A problem arises, however, when what is supposed to be a specatacular show turns out to be a deadly catastrophe. As it turns out, over the last several years the shower has been building in intensity, and as Carter determines this is because Edora passes through its system's asteroid belt and every several hundred years it passes through a denser section. Because of this, in the same interval of time the planet appears to become bombarded with meteors that destroy the planets surface and wipe out almost the entire population.

  If you live in Western Europe or eastern North America, put a big circle on your calendar around Saturday, Nov. 18. If that night is clear, bundle up warmly and head outside because you may be able to catch a glimpse of an intense, albeit brief display of Leonid meteors. The Leonids are composed of the dusty debris that has been shed by the comet Temple-Tuttle, a small celestial body that orbits the Sun at 33-year intervals. In those years during and then for several years after the comet has swept through the inner solar system, it has had a propensity for producing spectacular meteor displays; meteors falling by the hundreds, if not thousands per hour. These "shooting stars" all apparently emanate from the constellation of Leo, the Lion. Hence the name "Leonids."
  
  The great years
  
  The comet last passed the Sun and Earth in 1998, and from that year through 2002, the Leonids produced showers in which meteors fell at rates of more than a thousand per hour—displays that astronomers call meteor storms. [Images from 2001: Gallery 1, 2, 3, 4]  Since 2003, however, with Temple-Tuttle having receded back into the far reaches of the solar system, the Leonids have been disappointing, barely producing more than 10 meteors per hour. It appeared that the chances of any more spectacular Leonid displays were over for many years to come. But that might not be case, if the calculations of several reputable meteor scientists prove to be correct.
  
  Prediction for 2006
   
  Apparently, a rather narrow but dense ribbon of dust was shed by comet Temple-Tuttle when it passed the Sun in 1932. When the Earth interacted with that dusty trail back in 1969, it produced a brief bevy of some 200 to 300 meteors in less than hour. In 2006, Earth will be nearly twice as far away from the comet as opposed to 1969, but expectations are that as many as 100 to 150 Leonids may streak across the sky in only an hour’s time as we interact with that decades-old ribbon of debris again. The expected time of peak activity is 11:45 p.m. EST on the night of Nov. 18.

Solar activity is about to increase--or so it seems. An active sunspot is hiding just behind the sun's eastern limb. For the past three days, it has been erupting, throwing clouds of magnetized gas high above the sun's surface where they can be seen from Earth. Some of these explosions have also produced strong radio bursts heard in the loudspeakers of ham-radio rigs. Soon, perhaps later today or tomorrow, the sun's rotation will turn the sunspot toward Earth, providing a direct view of the active region. If it is indeed a big spot, we could be in for some stormy space weather in the days ahead.

Freak One-Eyed Monster Storm Spotted on Saturn

A freaky storm two-thirds the diameter of Earth and unlike anything ever seen has been spotted on Saturn. The tempest, some 5,000 miles wide (8,000 kilometers), has an oddly human-looking hurricane-like eye [image]. But it is very different from a terrestrial hurricane, scientists said today. NASA's Cassini spacecraft photographed the huge storm. It swirls with 350 mph winds at the ringed planet's south pole. It has a remarkably well-defined eye ringed by clouds that soar 20 to 45 miles high (30 to 75 kilometers), or up to five times taller than hurricane clouds on Earth. "It looks like a hurricane, but it doesn't behave like a hurricane," said Andrew Ingersoll, a member of Cassini's imaging team at the California Institute of Technology. "Whatever it is, we're going to focus on the eye of this storm and find out why it's there." The storm's eye is clear of clouds, as with a hurricane on Earth. And the eye-wall clouds are also similar to those that surround the eye of a storm here. Researchers don't know if rising, moist air is fueling the clouds, as in a normal hurricane. But the storm's eye, eye-wall and spiral arms are all "hurricane-like," they say. Yet this storm rotates around Saturn's south pole—astronomers say the pole seems to be within the storm's eye and the system seems locked in place. Other gas-planet storms, like the Red Spot on Jupiter and many smaller storms on both Saturn and Jupiter, do not have eyes. This newfound storm's eye offers a window into Saturn. "The clear skies over the eye appear to extend down to a level about twice as deep as the usual cloud level observed on Saturn," said Kevin Baines of Cassini's visual and infrared mapping spectrometer team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. "This gives us the deepest view yet into Saturn over a wide range of wavelengths, and reveals a mysterious set of dark clouds at the bottom of the eye." Previous observations have shown that Saturn's south pole is warmer than other parts of the planet by about 4 degrees Fahrenheit. "The winds decrease with height, and the atmosphere is sinking, compressing and heating over the south pole," said Richard Achterberg, a member of Cassini's composite infrared spectrometer team at NASA's Goddard Spaceflight Center, Greenbelt, Md.

Brilliant flare seen in II Pegasi

Scientists using NASA's Swift satellite have spotted a stellar flare on a nearby star so powerful that, had it been from our sun, it would have triggered a mass extinction on Earth. The flare was perhaps the most energetic magnetic stellar explosion ever detected. The flare was seen in December 2005 on a star slightly less massive than the sun, in a two-star system called II Pegasi in the constellation Pegasus. It was about a hundred million times more energetic than the sun's typical solar flare, releasing energy equivalent to about 50 million trillion atomic bombs. Fortunately, our sun is now a stable star that doesn't produce such powerful flares. And II Pegasi is at a safe distance of about 135 light-years from Earth. Yet in detecting this brilliant flare, scientists obtained direct observational evidence that stellar flares on other stars involve particle acceleration, just like on our sun. Rachel Osten of University of Maryland and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., presents this finding today at the Cool Stars 14 meeting in Pasadena, Calif. "The flare was so powerful that, at first, we thought it was a star explosion," said Osten, a Hubble Fellow. "We know much about solar flares on the sun, but these are samples from just one star. This II Pegasi event was our first opportunity to study details of another star's flaring as if it were as close as our sun." ...

Amazing Leonid meteor shower expected November 18

Put a big circle on your calendar around Saturday, November 18. If that night is clear, bundle up warmly and head outside in the early morning hours because you may be able to catch a really impressive display of meteors in your night sky.
 
The Leonids, as they are called, are considered the most spectacular of modern showers. They are composed of the dusty debris from comet Temple-Tuttle which orbits the Sun at 33 year intervals. In recent years the comet has had a propensity for producing spectacular meteor displays; meteors falling by the hundreds, if not thousands per hour.
 
During the 1966 shower it was estimated that there were around 500,000 meteors per hour seen by observers all over the planet! That’s 140 per second, the fastest piece traveling at 70 kilometres a second. These "shooting stars" all apparently emanate from the constellation of Leo, the Lion. Hence the name "Leonids."
 
The comet last passed the Sun and Earth in 1998, and from that year through 2002, the Leonids produced showers in which meteors fell at rates of more than a thousand per hour - displays that astronomers call meteor storms.
 
This weekend, we'll find out whether the predictions of several reputable meteor scientists come true. They say we’re in for quite a show. On November 19, as the Earth passes through the trail of debris left by the Leonids' parent comet on one of its previous returns, expectations are that as many as 100 to 150 Leonids per hour may streak across our nigh skies as we interact with that decades-old ribbon of debris again.
 
Meteor showers are notoriously difficult to predict at the best of times, there may be far more or far less than this number visible, we simply can’t tell.
 
Most of the meteors seen during this outburst are expected to be faint, so dark skies will be very helpful. Even if you miss the November 18 outburst, the shower is reasonably active for about a week from November 14-21. After this year no further outbursts are expected until the end of the 21st century so this really is the last chance to see the Leonids at their best.
 
Meteor watching is easy. Simply find the darkest location you can with a clear view of the north-eastern horizon then go out and look up. You don’t need binoculars or a telescope. The best time to view the shower is between 2-5am.

 
I have talked about the Leonids a few times throughout the years in this paper, including the symbolism that they come from the constellation of Leo; they orbit the sun every 33 years; and the last pass was in 1998.
 
I see the last day of the Leonids is November 21, which is the 2222 day before December 21, 2012. I also see that "after this year no further outbursts are expected until the end of the 21st century" so if anything is ever going to happen with them before 2012, this could be their last chance.

Tsunami warning for Japan

A tsunami warning has been issued for northern Japan and the Russian coast after a series of earthquakes hit south east Asia, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre has confirmed. A wall of water between one and two metres high is expected to strike the Hokkaido and Honshu islands later. Warnings are being broadcast on all Japanese TV and radio stations advising people to move to higher ground. It comes after an 8.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Kuril Islands, which lie northwest of Japan. A strong earthquake measuring 6.0 shook the Banda Sea near Indonesia - the scene of so much of the devastation caused by the tsunami disaster of Boxing day 2004. Papua New Guinea has recorded a 6.3 magnitude quake.

A tsunami warning was issued for northern Japan and the Russian coast after a series of earthquakes hit south east Asia. Small tsunami waves came ashore on Hokkaido island, which lies among the Russian-owned Kuriles, nearly two hours after the estimated 8.1 magnitude quake. Other waves of 10 to 20 cm were also recorded. A lesser warning was issued for a wide swathe of the eastern coast of northern and central Honshu, Japan's main island, but most waves in these areas were predicted to only hit 50 cm at the highest. Television footage of deserted harbours along Hokkaido's eastern coast showed boats patrolling the water but otherwise the areas appeared calm. Japanese know the Kuriles as the Chishima islands. Japan claims the four Russian-controlled islands closest to Hokkaido, calling them the Northern Territories.

This is the date I thought "something" might happen so I wasn't too surprised when nothing came from the Leonids on the 18/19. Seeing this on spaceweather.com today did catch me by surprise. Not that I expect something to happen - it is just strange that the two (the 2222 date and the Leonids) WILL coincide on this date afterall.

• Christian Lebanese Industry Minister Pierre Gemayel, an outspoken critic of Syria, was assassinated today in Beirut. Syria was quick to reject accusations by Lebanon's anti-Syrian parliamentary majority of involvement in Gemayel's assassination. (Syria is also suspected of being behind the assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri on February 14, 2005.)
   

• The UN Security Council approved plans for an international tribunal to try suspects in the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. (The UN inquiry has already implicated senior Syrian security officials.) Pierre Gemayel's killing came hours before a deadline for council members to approve a letter authorizing Secretary-General Kofi Annan to establish the tribunal with the cooperation of the Lebanese government.With the Security Council‘s approval, it will now be up to the Lebanese government to make the final decision on establishing the tribunal.
   

• Iraq and Syria formally resumed full diplomatic relations after a quarter of a century. Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mualem, the first Syrian minister who visited Iraq since the US-led invasion in 2003, signed an agreement in Baghdad with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshiar al-Zebari to restore full diplomatic relations. (Syria and Iraq severed diplomatic ties in the 1980s when Damascus sided with Tehran in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.)
     

• Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad invited Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to a three-way Summit this weekend in Tehran. (This was later denied. The Iraqi president did attend the meeting but Bashar al-Assad did not.)
      

These events have inspired me to further investigate something I have been keeping watch on since 2000, and since this 2222 November 21 date, I have come across even more interesting findings...
 
Let me start by saying that if we are indeed in the End Times and if "the appointed time" of The End (see scriptures below) is December 21, 2012 (as I believe I have provided clear evidence for especially in my Chapter 13 - 11:11) that leaves us just a little over 6 years for the End Time events as described in the Bible (i.e. Revelations) to occur.

Daniel 8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
 
Daniel 11:27 And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
 
Daniel 11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

 
One of these events is the emergence of the Antichrist - a world leader who will bring a false peace and then destruction to the Middle East and the world, just before the Second Coming of Jesus. Many people have tried to identify who this person could be, and many names have been suggested. Although I have always been reluctant to discuss this subject, and when asked by many readers who I think it could be I have always declined to say, as I certainly do not want to accuse anyone of being the Antichrist, because I do not KNOW who it is, and I could very well be wrong. All I know is who the "clues" that I have been shown have pointed to. I have decided to share this information, in order to allow you to review and consider it to come to your own conclusions, and at least to be aware and to keep a close eye on events in the coming days.
 
I will first describe the clue that occurred which first brought this person to my attention. This clue came in the form of a "coincidence" which, if you have read this paper, you will know that I do not see coincidence as a chance happening but as a clue to be followed.
 
Back when this all started happening with me, I found and joined an 11:11 group on the Internet. In the early days we had some very interesting discussions and exchanges of ideas concerning the 11:11 phenomenon. (Today I find that the 11:11 groups hardly even discuss the 11:11 at all.) Fortunately this particular 11:11 group still exists, although I am no longer a member, and the archives are open to the public so the letters that I am going to talk about are still available to read.

Interestingly enough, the Anti-Christ is supposed to be seen as a peacemaker who helps bring the facade of peace to the Middle East, correct? Well, I just dug up this news story from October. Apparently, the Middle East peace process was being held up for several reasons... ONE of which was the power struggle in Syria over who would succeed the ailing ruler -- seriously, here's the story (below). So what if this guy -- who is 34 years old -- is ruler of Syria, and then helps bring peace (already there'll be no power struggle -- perhaps he'll be seen as a uniting force -- young, ambitious, charismatic, loved by his people).

This is how Bashar al-Assad was first brought to my attention. Not only his identity, but also in the context of the Antichrist, so I have been watching the news for his name ever since.
  
Some interesting facts about Bashar al-Assad that I have discovered either on the Internet or found myself:

• His birthday is September 11, 1965.
     
  September 11 is an interesting date for at least 4 reasons:
     

  • Many theologians and scholars believe that Jesus was born on September 11 3BC.
    It would be interesting to say the least if Christ and the Antichrist had the same birthday.
       

  • September 11, 2001 is the date of the World Trade Center 911 tragedy.
       

  • In my Chapter 13 - 11:11 I show how the End Time might be December 21, 2012 at 11:11 pm Giza time which is 9:11 pm Universal Time.
       

  • There are 111 days left in the year.
    
    

• Bashar's father, Hafez, was born Hafez al Wahash. He changed his name later in life from Wahash to Assad.
  Apparently Wahash means "beast" and Assad means "lion." So although Bashar is known as Bashar al-Assad, his family name is really Wahash. In the Bible the Antichrist is also called The Beast. The Beast disguised as a lion? Jesus is known as the Lion King of Judah.
   

• Bashar's father died on June 10, 2000. Bashar became president taking office on July 17, 2000. July 17 is 717. That is a number that has been discussed a great deal concerning the 11:11 phenomenon. Many people see 717 as they did/do 911 and wonder what it could mean.
     

• Syrian Presidents are elected by referendum for a 7-year term. The Antichrist is supposed to confirm a 7-year covenant.
     
  Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
     

• Bashar's 7-year term of office ends next year on July 17, 2007. If he is reinstated the new term will start on July 17, 2007. From that day to December 21, 2012 is 5 years 5 month 5 days - 555.

  Before he became President (and maybe he still is) Bashar was the head of the Syrian Computer Society.
     

• Bashar was born in Damascus, Syria. The Latitude of Damascus is 33"30' N. (333 connection.)
        

  • Sunrise time on the day of his birth was 5:15 Standard Time. 5:15 has been a number of great signficance in this Chapter 18. (Although I still believe 5:15 also relates to May 15.)
          
  • On this day, the sun was in LEO. At 5:15 when the sun rose, Leo had just completely risen over the Eastern horizon - a significant sky chart as shown in this paper. (In the diagram below I moved the time ahead 10 minutes to 5:25 so the sun would be in view.) LEO means lion. Assad means lion.

MAJOR SOLAR FLARE: Earth-orbiting satellites detected a powerful X-class solar flare this morning, Dec. 5th, at 10:35 Universal Time. The source: big, new sunspot 929, which is emerging over the Sun's eastern limb. Because of the sunspot's position near the limb, this flare was not Earth-directed. Future eruptions could be, however, because the Sun's spin is turning the spot toward Earth. Sunspot 929 will be visible for the next two weeks as it glides across the solar disk.

ANGRY SUNSPOT: Sunspot 930 emerged from behind the sun's eastern limb on Dec. 5th and promptly exploded. The X9-class flare it produced was the strongest solar flare in more than a year.

PLANETARY ALIGNMENT: Finally, a good reason to wake up early: Jupiter, Mercury and Mars are converging to form a tight triangle in the morning sky. Look for them, low in the east, beaming through the rosy glow of dawn on Dec. 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th.

The STS-116 mission is the 33rd for Discovery and the 117th space shuttle flight. During the 12-day mission, the crew will continue construction on the International Space Station, rewiring the orbiting laboratory and adding a segment to its integrated truss structure.

METEOR SHOWER: The Geminid meteor shower peaks tonight. Start watching around 9 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Dec. 13th. The display will start small but grow in intensity as the night wears on. X-FLARE: Sunspot 930 has unleashed another big solar flare, an X3-class explosion at 0240 UT on Dec. 13th.
As a result of the blast, a radiation storm is underway. Based on the energy and number of solar protons streaming past Earth, NOAA ranks the storm as category S2: satellites may experience some glitches and reboots, but astronauts are in no danger. The explosion hurled a coronal mass ejection toward Earth: movie. Sky watchers should be alert for auroras when it arrives on Dec. 14th. (Note: In the movie, the CME is barely visible through a snowstorm of streaks and speckles. That "snow" is caused by solar protons peppering SOHO's digital camera.)

Pope asks Syria to help secure peace

GOODBYE... and thanks for all the X-flares. Sunspot 930 announced itself on Dec. 5th with one of the strongest flares in years--an X9, followed by an X6 on Dec. 6th, an X3 on Dec. 13th, and an X1 on Dec. 14th. Not bad for solar minimum! Now the spot is gone. The slow spin of the sun carried it over the sun's western limb this morning--but not before one last flare: "Today sunspot 930 said a nice goodbye," reports photographer Mila Zinkova of San Francisco, California. "There was C2 flare at the limb with a nice ring-shaped prominence. The prominence changed shape and brightness constantly--very pretty."

Is it just a "coincidence" that I happened to look at that site at the exact time that the very last entry was the poster's 5555th?

Yesterday in post #481 I copied the following from spaceweather.com:

This series of activity reminded me of the solar activity back in October/November of 2003. ("The sun cut loose with three severe flares in less than 24 hours through Monday morning, bringing to nine the number of major eruptions in less than two weeks. Scientists have never witnessed a string of activity like this."). It is like "someone" is trying to get our attention so I decided to investigate the data further to see if I could see any interesting connections. I already discovered several amazing connections which I wrote about in my Chapter 18-5 in posts #257 and #260 which I entitled "The Sun/Son of God Speaks to Earth" - Parts I and II.
 
For ease of understanding, I will create a table of the solar flare data I am referencing:

My Chapter 18 has been focused on a MAY 15 (515) date. In my first post (# 188) of Chapter 18-5 which I wrote on December 17, 2004, I discovered that December 21, 2012 minus 66,666 hours (also 2777 days) came to May 15, 2005. More precisely, December 21, 2012 at 11:11 pm (23:11) Giza time or 9:11 pm (21:11) UT minus 66,666.66666... hours came to May 15, 2005 at 0231 UT. I believed that "something" might happen at that time.

In this post #257, written on May 16, 2005 (the day after my above May 15 date), I found that the time of earth impact of the recent May 13 solar flare was May 15, 2005 at 0230 UT which coincided with my calculation when "something" might happen.
 
(I also found that the time of impact was 230 UT and there were 230 days left in the year AND that there were 33 weeks left in the year.)

Mount St. Helens Rumbles Again: Is She Ready for an Eruption?

Mount Saint Helens is emitting some steam and Fox News is reporting that Mt. Saint Helens in Washington state is 'putting on a little show today.' According to a report broadcast on FNC there has been low rates of seismic activity and low emissions of steam and volcanic activity and a minor production of ash was happening at 9:27am Pacific Time. The vapor is seen rising out of the mountain from a live shot from the mountain and there was another slight earthquake over the weekend, according to the broadcast report. Is she ready to blow - likely not. But experts always warn that it is active.

In November, a report from Reuters noted that the mountain reawakened in the fall of 2004 with new eruptions, and has produced thousands of shallow, regular, repetitive earthquakes since then. The report cited scientists led by Richard Iverson of the U.S. Geological Survey writing in the journal Nature, and their report said these quakes appear to result from the movement of a huge plug of igneous rock known as dacite being shoved out of the volcano.
 
The good news, they said, is that the volcano appears to be brooding rather than bursting, and the recent quakes seem unlikely to be a harbinger of a massive eruption along the lines of the one that occurred on May 18, 1980. Mount St. Helens is most famous for that catastrophic eruption nearly 27 tears (years) ago. The 1980 eruption was the most deadly and economically destructive volcanic event in the history of the United States as 57 people were killed; 250 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railways and 185 miles of highway were destroyed. Mount St. Helens is the most active of the volcanoes in the Cascades Mountains, and geologically young compared to the others. It is believed to have the potential at some point in the future for another big eruption.

Remember... 1980 is when I calculated the beginning of The 11th Hour to be with 11:11 coinciding with December 21, 2012. (Chapter 13 - 11:11.)

Mount St. Helens is located at 46°11'28"N, 122°11'39"W. Close to Nate. I too live at 46°N (and am 46 years old).

We drove to Nova Scotia to visit with family for a few days after Christmas. While we were sitting in the living room, Bruce's dad picked up a book and read a passage that said humanity probably would not survive past 2050. I told him 2012. He just laughed. Didn't ask why, just laughed. I told Bruce's mom it had to do with the 11th Hour and that was the end of the conversation. About an hour later, Bruce and his mother and I went out shopping. Ancient ice shelf breaks free from Canadian Arctic

TORONTO, Ontario (AP) -- A giant ice shelf the size of 11,000 football fields has snapped free from Canada's Arctic, scientists said. The mass of ice broke clear 16 months ago from the coast of Ellesmere Island, about 800 kilometers (497 miles) south of the North Pole, but no one was present to see it in Canada's remote north. Scientists using satellite images later noticed that it became a newly formed ice island in just an hour and left a trail of icy boulders floating in its wake.
 
Warwick Vincent of Laval University, who studies Arctic conditions, traveled to the newly formed ice island and could not believe what he saw. "This is a dramatic and disturbing event. It shows that we are losing remarkable features of the Canadian North that have been in place for many thousands of years. We are crossing climate thresholds, and these may signal the onset of accelerated change ahead," Vincent said Thursday. In 10 years of working in the region he has never seen such a dramatic loss of sea ice, he said. The collapse was so powerful that earthquake monitors 250 kilometers (155 miles) away picked up tremors from it. The Ayles Ice Shelf, roughly 66 square kilometers (41 square miles) in area, was one of six major ice shelves remaining in Canada's Arctic.
 
Scientists say it is the largest event of its kind in Canada in 30 years and point their fingers at climate change as a major contributing factor.

On December 30, 2006 shortly after 6:00 am Iraq time, Saddam Hussein was executed by hanging.  

This is definitely a major event, and as one reader friend said, "That, in itself, has potentially 'volcanic’ repercussions."
 
In my post #488, one of the numbers of significance was 1937, and I mentioned how both Nate and my mother were born in 1937. Saddam Hussein was also born in 1937.

IT'S BACK: Sunspot 930, which unleashed four X-flares and sparked intense auroras in mid-December, is back. It is emerging over the sun's eastern limb following a two-week transit around the far side of the sun. Since we last saw it, the spot has probably decayed and now poses little threat for strong solar flares. Stay tuned for confirmation.

[CORRECTION: Contrary to what you may have read on Spaceweather.com earlier today, this sunspot is not sunspot 930. It looks like sunspot 930, it's where 930 should be (almost), but it is not 930. It is sunspot 933.] 

HAPPY NEW YEAR: 2006 was a good year for space weather: bright auroras, backward sunspots, powerful flares. Next year should be even better. 2006 was a year of solar minimum, a low point at the end of Solar Cycle 23. 2007 should bring the first stirrings of Solar Cycle 24, predicted to be one of the biggest in history. Note: A January 3, 2007 article (http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=2765883) states that over 12,000 Iraqi civilians were killed in 2006 alone, with possibly as many as over 150,000 civilian deaths since the war began in 2003, according to the Iraqi Minister of Health. Note that is 12,000 / 150,000 CIVILIANS compared with 820 / 3000 U.S. MILITARY PERSONNEL. That is like wiping out the entire population of Prince Edward Island.

Another study says that over 600,000 total Iraqi deaths have occurred.
