Jim Carrey has landed the role of a dog catcher in a new comedy THE NUMBER 23.
 
The actor was the perfect choice for the part, as he has previously declared, because in real life he's obsessed by the number.
 
The Bruce Almighty star has also mentioned that many conspiracy theorists are obsessed by the number 23, as well, because it keeps cropping up in modern life, but he just can't decide whether it's a good or a bad omen.
 
"I've had an obsession with the number 23 for years. I see it everywhere - license plate numbers add up to it. One of my best friends turned me onto it and he's been writing down 23 things forever - the human body has 46 chromosomes, 23 for each parent and he'd go on and on how this 23 number pops up”, Carrey said.
 
"There are actually societies out there that follow the number 23. It's a very odd thing, but I see it everywhere. Those things go on in my head and I have to put them some place.

It even changed the name of my company to JC23 a couple of years ago because, for me, it culminated to the 23rd psalm, which is about living without fear", the actor added.

Like virtually everyone else involved in this story, Kevin, an outgoing teen with a big smile, is at a loss to make any logical sense out of the two events.
 
But he thinks it's more than a coincidence: "It's one of those things you can't explain. It was meant to happen. I'm Catholic, and I believe the Lord kind of set things up. They say things happen for a reason, and nothing is a coincidence." His mother added, "I believe both of these lives were touched by the hand of God."
 
One of Kevin's Scout leaders, Gerald E. Robert of Boy Scout Troop 601, called it the most amazing story he has heard in 30 years of scouting. "The Lord works in mysterious ways," Robert said, "and this proves it."

An era came to an end Friday as the Canadian military formally gave up its 32-year-old peacekeeping mission on the Golan Heights and pretty much ended its longstanding connection with UN peace forces. Op Danaca, Canada's 190-member commitment to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force on the Syria-Israel border, was Canada's last contribution of any size to traditional peacekeeping. The Canadian Forces said it needs the skilled soldiers from the operation for other jobs, including Afghanistan. Two token soldiers will be left with the force by summer and Canada's total military contribution to UN peacekeeping - which 15 years ago involved up to 4,000 troops - will be reduced to about 60 soldiers in a half-dozen missions.

Archaeologists announced Sunday that they have discovered an ancient sun temple containing large statues of the pharaoh Ramses II under an outdoor marketplace in Cairo, Egypt. The temple was found in a suburb of Cairo called Ain Shams. The site was once part of the ancient city of Heliopolis, which served as the center of sun worship in ancient Egypt. The chief sun god, Re, was the patron sun god of Heliopolis.
 
Ramses II, who is believed to have ruled Egypt from around 1279 to 1213 B.C., is known for his military exploits and monumental building projects. To celebrate his victories, he erected statues and temples to himself all over Egypt. "The area where we are excavating now is where Ramses II of the 19th dynasty [1320 to 1200 B.C.] built an enormous temple for Re, the largest temple of Ramses II ever found," said Zahi Hawass, head of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities in Cairo. Hawass is also a National Geographic Society explorer-in-residence.
 
An Egyptian team has been cooperating with a team from the German Archaeological Institute on the excavations in the Ain Shams and Matariya neighborhoods of Cairo.
 
Egyptologists not involved with the discovery said it confirms suspicions that much of ancient Egypt has been buried under modern cities and still remains to be found.

The temple was built of limestone, and the archaeologists have uncovered the remains of one pillar bearing inscriptions of Ramses II. The researchers are currently excavating the entrance area and the west side of the temple site. They have found chambers for the storage of wheat, a kiln for making amulets, part of a large statue—the head of which weighs 5 tons (4.5 metric tons) and would have stood almost 20 feet (6 meters) tall—and another head of granite, weighing 2 tons (1.8 metric tons). "Perhaps the most exciting [find] is an unusual seated statue that shows Ramses II in the leopard skin of a priest, showing that he built this temple as the high priest of Re," Hawass said.

"This statue is in the style of dynasty 12 [1991 to 1786 B.C.] and may have been usurped by Ramses II," he added, meaning that it may have been altered to resemble Ramses II. "This is an important discovery, giving us information about the cult of Re."
 
Ramses II, who made a name for himself by battling the Hittites and the Syrians, is traditionally believed to have been the Pharaoh of Exodus, the biblical figure from whom Moses demanded that his people be released.
 
Ramses II erected monuments to himself up and down the Nile with records of his achievements. His most famous temple is Abu Simbel, which was carved into a sandstone mountain on the banks of the Nile, near what is now Egypt's southern border. (See photo gallery: "Towering Treasures of Ramses.")
 
Heliopolis
 
Numerous temples to Egypt's many sun gods—particularly the chief god Re—were also built in ancient Heliopolis. "This was the center for the worship of the sun god Re," Hawass said. "A number of important remains have been discovered here, and there is evidence that this cult went back at least to the Old Kingdom [from about 2700 to 2200 B.C.] if not before and was active to the end of Egyptian history." The German excavations show that lakes or swamps dominated the area in ancient times. Most of the temples of ancient Heliopolis were later plundered, and the area is now covered with residential buildings.
 
The discovery of the sun temple may shed light on the status of Heliopolis in ancient Egypt. "We do not know enough about Heliopolis, which was one of the main cities in Egypt and moreover a religious and, let us say, intellectual center," said French archaeologist Alain Zivie, leader of a team that has been excavating Saqqara, the cemetery of the ancient Egyptian city of Memphis, for more than two decades. Zivie says the discovery also shows that much of ancient Egypt's treasures are still buried under modern cities, particularly Cairo and its suburbs. "Cairo is the child of three cities: Memphis, [the Roman fortress of] Babylon of Egypt, and Heliopolis," Zivie said. "Expanding more and more, it swallows now its three mothers, especially Babylon and Heliopolis. But these [ancient cities] are not completely lost. They continue to exist in the underground Cairo."
 
Leo Depuydt, an Egyptologist at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, agrees. "The recent find of a giant temple built by Ramses II, ancient Egypt's greatest builder pharaoh, in Cairo again reminds us of how archaeological discovery would increase exponentially—almost beyond imagination—if digging under urban centers and dismantling buildings of later date ever becomes, technically and politically, even more feasible," he said.
 

"Mr. Bauval made the connection to the Pyramids of Giza and Orion. Perhaps Point (x,y,z) points to a specific location in this necropolis where something significant may be found?"

Dying comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 continues to break apart. Astronomers are tracking at least 20 fragments approaching Earth for a harmless but beautiful close encounter in May. In particular, fragment B of the comet has brightened 15-fold since April 2nd. This signals a possible breakup of "73P-B" into even more fragments. While reading it, the dates May 12, 13, 14 caught my attention because of the nearness to my MAY 15 date. This article states:

There's no danger of a collision. "Goodness, no," says Yeomans. "The closest fragment will be about six million miles away--or twenty-five times farther than the Moon." That's close without actually being scary.

 
Then I didn't give it much more thought until...
 
About a week later (sometime last week) information was being posted on some of the Internet forums I read about a man named Eric Julien who believes that on May 25 a fragment of this comet is going to impact earth. What caught my attention first about this was his name, as my name JULI is imbedded in his. I also noticed that he said the collision will occur in the Atlantic Ocean between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer and generate 200-meter waves. Of course this made me think of my Cumbre Vieja tsunami as this volcano lies in the Atlantic Ocean just a few degrees above the Tropic of Cancer (Tropic of Cancer = 23.5ºN; La Palma = 28.5ºN). If he had said May 15 instead of May 25 I would have been even more curious.

Julien predicts that the comet collision will occur in the Atlantic Ocean between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer, and generates 200 meter waves. Julien concludes that "each person with this information has to take responsibility to warn potential victims."

Another thing that caught my attention was the name of the comet - WACHMANN - and this made me connect to the WATCHMAN in the Bible. The actual name of the comet is 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3, and I also see that WACHMANN is in the name SCHWASSMANN with 3 extra S's... for double emphasis?
 
I tired to read Eric Julien's entire article, but for some reason my computer will not allow me to read online pdf files, so I didn't give it much more thought until...

Today, when I received that IM.
 
I could not remember where I first heard about the comet so I went to spaceweather.com. As I skimmed over the page looking for any information about it I saw something that made my jaw drop. At the bottom of the page they give the number of PHA's (Potentially Hazardous Asteroids) and there in bright red letters was the number 778. I thought, Holy Cow! When was it 777? I went back in the archives and found it was 777 from April 5 -13.
 
Then I went through my old emails to try and find the bulletin I had received from spaceweather.com about the comet. I found it and saw that I had received it on April 7. So... On April 7, the day that I first heard about this comet, the number of PHA's was 777!

On spaceweather.com yesterday (April 17, 2006):

The swarm will pass only 6 million miles from Earth on May 12th-14th, providing a marvelous view to anyone with a backyard telescope.

Within hours, I started to see all kinds of 777's...
 
My son tutors a young boy so I drove him to the school. When we got in the car I notice my odometer was 99771. I thought, my odometer is going to turn over to 777 while I am driving him there. Just as we drove into the school parking lot it did, so I took a picture.

 
When I got back from driving him to the school, the news was on TV. I noticed that the TSX went up 137.77 (close to 1.11%):

And on the late night news, I heard that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' baby girl Suri was born weighing 7 lbs 7 oz.

"In a strange twist of fate, Suri was born on the same day actress Brooke Shields gave birth to her daughter, Grier Hammond Henchy. Shields and Cruise had a public spat last year after he criticized the actress for taking antidepressants following the birth of her first child."

These events and information made me want to read Eric Julien's entire article even more. I was still unable to do so because I could not open the pdf file, but after some searching I was lucky to come across a web site where someone had posted the article. (NOTE:  I now see that Mr. Julien's web site has been updated and an html version of the article is now available: http://www.exopoliticsinstitute.org/Eric-Julien-25-MAY-2006-En.htm.) This part caught my attention:

"A heavenly object, hardly larger than a truck, but animated by an enormous kinetic energy - its speed will be approximately 40 kilometers/second - will strike the Earth after having crossed the thick atmosphere of 80 kilometers, then the oceanic depths of 1500 meters at this place, to reach and shake the zone of the dorsal the mid-Atlantic rift crossing from North to the South on the Atlantic ocean floor. Currently, tens of underwater volcanoes lie largely dormant, ejecting very small quantities of magma emerging from gigantic chambers. They will break out, heating the sea water to a boiling point. It is the vision that I had approximately three years ago. It happened again on April 7 2006 at 10 pm while I meditated on the shores of the Pacific with two other people. I received information supplementing this vision: the date, MAY 25, 2006!"

I was not sure how Mr. Julien's comet / May 25 date connected to my Cumbre Vieja volcano tsunami / May 15 date, but this answered my question. I also found it interesting that I first heard about the comet on April 7 and that is the same day that Mr. Julien received his information.

Another thing I found interesting was that he had his vision of a mega-tsunami in the Atlantic Ocean 3 years ago. Then on April 7, 2006 he was telepathically told that this tsunami would occur around May 25, 2006. It was not until a few days later that he learned about the comet, and then he made the connection that this tsunami might be caused by a fragment of this comet. The similarities - other than that we both have JULI in our names - are that we both are talking about a mega-tsunami in the same region of the Atlantic Ocean - my date of May 15 (year unknown) - and his date 10 days later on May 25, 2006. Not that I am saying anything is going to happen - it is just that the synchronicities are very thought-provoking...

"You need to know that up to recently, before I discovered what you have just read on this fragmented comet, I received on April 7, 2006 a telepathic message from extraterrestrial friends. According to them, a méga-tsunami in the Atlantic Ocean I had experienced in a lucid dream three years ago, would occur around MAY 25, 2006. Perhaps two or three days before or after. I have two witnesses who will confirm the chronology of the facts that I describe here, but especially tens of readers on Internet and a deposit of copyright concerning my lucid dream three years earlier. This diagram is dated April 7. April 7 is the day that I first heard about the comet (via an email bulletin from spaceweather.com) as well as the day that Eric Julien received his information.

What caught my attention is the location of the comet. It is in the constellation of Bootes. This reminded me of what I had written in Chapter 12 - SIGNS:

The biggest gamma ray burst ever seen (called the Second Biggest Bang) occurred in the constellation Bootes (The Coming Shepherd) (aka Jesus). Was this a "sign" for "Get ready, I'm coming" ?

This picture is dated May 14. This is one day before my May 15 date, so on May 15 the comet fragments will be in the constellation of Pegasus. Pegasus is a White Horse, which reminded me of Jesus coming on the White Horse in Revelations.

COMET NEWS: So many comets, so little time! Astronomers are now monitoring almost 40 fragments of dying comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3. Of special interest is fragment B, which has just split in two.

COMET NEWS: Only a few days ago, fragment B of dying comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3 split in two. One of those two pieces is now "in outburst," almost doubling in brightness since April 23rd. The outburst could signal a new breakup of fragment B, which brightens as fresh veins of ice and dust are exposed to sunlight. If so, the pair may soon be a triple--or more.

NASA says comet fragments won't hit Earth

Chunks of a comet currently splitting into pieces in the night sky will not strike the Earth next month, nor will it spawn killer tsunamis and mass extinctions, NASA officials said Thursday. The announcement, NASA hopes, will squash rumors that a fragment of the crumbling Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 (SW 3) will slam into Earth just before Memorial Day. "There are some Internet stories going around that there's going to be an impact on May 25," NASA spokesperson Grey Hautaluoma, told SPACE.com. "We just want to get the facts out."
 
Astronomers have been observing 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3, a comet that circles the Sun every 5.4 years, for more than 75 years and are confident that any of the icy object's fragments will remain at least a distant 5.5 million miles (8.8 million kilometers) from Earth – more than 20 times the distance to the Moon – at closest approach between May 12 and May 28. "We are very well acquainted with the trajectory of Comet 73P Schwassmann-Wachmann 3," said Donald Yeomans, manager of NASA's Near-Earth Object Program Office, in a written statement. "There is absolutely no danger to people on the ground or the inhabitants of the International Space Station, as the main body of the object and any pieces from the breakup will pass many millions of miles beyond the Earth."

COMET NEWS: Dying comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3 is falling apart with a vengeance. Even the fragments are fragmenting. Last night University of Arizona astronomer Carl Hergenrother took this picture of Fragment G, which is now an entourage of more than 15 pieces: (picture) As the comet crumbles, fresh veins of ice and dust are exposed to sunlight, causing the pieces to brighten. Fragment G (mag. 12) is still too faint for most backyard telescopes, but Fragment B (mag. 9) is an easy target--and it is undergoing a similar disruption event. To see it, point your telescope toward the constellation Corona Borealis in the eastern sky an hour or so after sunset 

FRAGMENT C: The biggest piece of comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3 is not falling apart. Sturdy fragment C, for reasons unknown, resists crumbling. This makes it different from the other 40+ fragments of the dying comet.

Comet's break-up has scientists ringside for show of a lifetime

They stretch across the heavens like pearls on an invisible string, and they are coming our way. Amazed astronomers have been watching as a comet, bound for the inner solar system, has broken into at least 44 pieces. On May 12 fragments of Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 will sweep within 12 million kilometres of Earth. "That's pretty close for a comet," said Nick Lomb, the astronomer at the Powerhouse Museum's Sydney Observatory.
 
Schwassmann-Wachmann 3's fragments "are spread over about 6 million kilometres … The tails of the bigger fragment extend around 2 million kilometres." Originally about two kilometres wide, its biggest part is now one kilometre wide. Dr Lomb said the best view of the comet's fragments, visible with binoculars, would be before dawn on May 11.

COMET NEWS: Comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann has now crumbled into more than 60 fragments. With so many little comets flying through space, at any given moment one is bound to be flying by something.

The Bible code warns that a collision with the Earth may be a real danger. There are a series of near encounters indicated, right up to the time Swift returns in 2126. But the first year clearly encoded with "comet" in only 10 years away - "5766," in the modern calendar 2006. Running across 2006 is a chilling statement: "Its path struck their dwelling." The warning that overlaps the year ends with the words "starlike object." Right above 2006 is an apparent confirmation of the time: "Year predicted for the world."

On page 155 is another statement that caught my attention:

That is very much what happened to the comet (Shoemaker-Levy) that hit Jupiter: Before it struck the planet it crumbled into 20 separate pieces. But then each of them bombarded Jupiter every day for a week.

 
For a week? This reminded me of the train and its cars analogy that Eric Julien used in his April 11th Part I:

In the same way, eleven days after the closest approach on May 14, 2006, the comet, or rather fragment B, will cross the ecliptic plane exactly on MAY 25, 2006! But the comet travels faster than the Earth, and because it follows a parallel trajectory, any danger will seem isolated. It should be up to seventeen million kilometers in front of the Earth when it crosses the ecliptic path of our planet around the sun.

It is a little like a bullet train that overtakes us as we travel parallel to it on the road. Our ways will cross, but not having the same speed, the train will be far in front of us at the time when we get to the level crossing. But - there is a big 'but' here – all the train coaches will perhaps not have passed on May 25, 2006. The characteristic of this comet is the low luminous magnitude of its fragments, barely that of faint stars. The alarm notice is thus likely to be three days, even only a few hours. The images below show, according to two different angles, the position of the comet compared to the Earth at the date, MAY 25, 2006. One sees in the second image, the comet perfectly on the ecliptic plane of the Earth.

We see above that the fragment B of the comet will be in the field of the ecliptic exactly on MAY 25, 2005, up to 17 million kilometers in front. But imagine a lagging fragment attracted by terrestrial gravity and according to a trajectory deviated by the energy of the original bursting apart by several tens of million kilometers, i.e. there are two revolutions around the sun by the comet. Impossible?

These 20+ "lagging fragments" of the Shoemaker-Levy comet bombarded Jupiter for a week. As I posted earlier, today spaceweather.com states that Comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann has now crumbled into more than 60 fragments! This gives credence to Eric Julien's potential scenario that comet fragments will still be lagging when Earth crosses the path of the comet.

Other probabilities are encoded. Both "5770" and "5772" - the years 2010 and 2012 - also appear with "comet." "Days of horror" runs across 2010. "Darkness" and "gloom" cross "comet" right below. "Earth annihilated" states the hidden text right above the year 2012. But where 2012 is encoded there is also a statement that the disaster will be prevented, that the comet will be blocked: "It will be crumbled, driven out, I will tear it to pieces, 5772."

When I bought and read this book back in the spring of 2000, I had not yet made the connection to 11:11 and 2012. I did not do this until the fall of that same year, in November of 2000. (See Chapter 13 - 11:11.)

I checked every year in the next hundred years. Only two years, 2000 and 2006, were clearly encoded with "World War." The same two years are encoded with "atomic holocaust." There is no way to know whether the code is predicting a war in 2000 or 2006. The year 2000 is encode twice, but 2006 is mathematically the best match.

Since 2000 has passed, only 2006 remains.

Why this is interesting is because of the news in the past few weeks. The world is currently awaiting with baited breath to see what the U.S. does with Iran. The reason they went to war with Iraq was because they believed they had weapons of mass destruction (which they did not). The question on many people's minds is will they attack Iran if Iran does not agree to cease its nuclear program? I saw on the news that in order to destroy Iran's nuclear development site, because it is so deep underground, that conventional weapons would not work; therefore, it would have to be a nuclear weapon. I later heard on the news that Iran said if the U.S. attacked them, they would attack Israel. This situation has the world community on edge.
 
Now bring into play this comet. If the world is not made aware of the "possibility" - no matter how remote - that a fragment of Comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann could hit Earth, and say one does, in Iran or the Middle East somewhere, considering the current tense situation, what would be the first thing that people there might believe just happened? That they had just been attacked by a nuclear weapon from the U.S.? Would a nuclear retaliation not follow? World War III?
 
Not only this, but June 6, 2006 - 6/6/6 - is just a few weeks away.

Maybe I have been watching too many movies, but the timing of all this seems just a bit too... coincidental.

COMET OUTBURST: Fragment B of dying comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann is undergoing another outburst. Its brightness has jumped nearly 4-fold (1.5 visual magnitudes) during the past week. Fragment B now glows like an 7th magnitude star.

COMET NEWS: In less than a week, dying comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3 will fly by Earth only 6 million miles away--a very close encounter. There's no danger of a collision, but the view through backyard telescopes will be magnificent. The "string of pearls" is at least 60 fragments long. The two biggest fragments of the comet (B and C) are already visible through binoculars. Look for them high in the eastern sky just before midnight.

COMET NEWS: Pay special attention to Fragment B. It's crumbling furiously. During the past few nights, amateur astronomers have watched the fragment splitting in two (for the second time since mid-April) and shedding debris.

DON'T STOP WATCHING: All 60+ fragments of comet 73P are approaching Earth. There's no danger of a collision: the mini-comets will be 6 million miles away at closest approach on May 12th - 14th.

I think the "Don't Stop Watching" is the key here as it is the debris field lagging behind the comet that is of concern... I also see in the PHA chart at the bottom of the screen that the size of Comet 73P-C is 1 kilometer.

COMET OUTBURST: According to observers in Europe, fragment B of comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3 has suddenly brightened to 5th magnitude. The outburst probably signals another breakup of the furiously decaying comet-fragment: image.

Many of the fragments are themselves crumbling, producing clouds of gas and dust mixed with boulder-sized debris. As some fragments fade, others brighten, surprising onlookers. It's an amazing display.

From July 16 through July 22, 1994, pieces of an object designated as Comet P/Shoemaker-Levy 9 collided with Jupiter. This is the first collision of two solar system bodies ever to be observed, and the effects of the comet impacts on Jupiter's atmosphere have been simply spectacular and beyond expectations. Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 consisted of at least 21 discernable fragments with diameters estimated at up to 2 kilometers.

Georgia's Oldest Person Turns 111

ATLANTA, May 7, 2006 (UPI) -- Anne Christopher, the oldest woman in Georgia, has turned 111.
 
Christopher, the oldest documented Georgian, celebrated her birthday in March at the Winthrop West senior living center in Rome, Ga., where she lives, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Using census records, the Gerontology Research Group validated Christopher as one of 62 "Supercentenarians" -- persons 110 and older -- in the world. The GRG lists Christopher as the 37th-oldest person on the planet and the 14th-oldest American.

"I don't know," said Christopher when asked to explain her longevity. "I wonder why. I haven't done anything special. Am I the oldest (Georgian)? We don't know why I'm living so long, do we? "Life is good, she said, but she figures the afterlife will be even better. "She once told me heaven is going to be a glorious place," her granddaughter Harriett Brock told the newspaper, "because there are so many people there she knew."

Of the two articles I can find on the Internet, one says she was born on March 4, 1895, but I am wondering if that is a mistake and should be May 4, 1895 since they are just talking about it on the news today. If so, on May 15 she will turn 111 years 11 days old:  (If not, that was 2 months ago, so why are they just talking about it on CNN today?)

Protests... Boycotts... Book burnings... Book burnings? Isn't that what they did in the Dark Ages?
 
It is amazing the furor this book and upcoming movie is causing in the Christian community around the world. I suppose in one way that is a good thing as it is bringing the world's attention to Jesus and God. Everyone seems to be talking about it, and it is receiving a great amount of media coverage. But I am really surprised at the negative, angry, closed-minded reaction to the idea that Jesus could have married and had children, with the bloodline continuing until this day.  
 
After all, the CLUE to this truth is right there in the Bible for all to "see" in Matthew 1:17:

Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Do you not see the generation PATTERN that has been presented to you as a CLUE? And what do you do with a pattern? You continue it! Just as the generation pattern continues, so do the generations. But it doesn't end there. If the purpose of this pattern is to continue it - to this day - then the question must be asked ... "WHY? What - or more specifically - Who - will be found?"  

Ironically, it is this idea of the PATTERN as a CLUE that is a major theme in The Da Vinci Code. (The Fibonacci Series.)

hello all,
a few days ago, i watched a documentary, i think called 'breaking the da vinci code' on the pax network. some interesting rebuttals concerning the artwork and da vinci's so-called 'codes', even his actual involvement. but where i was really turned off is when it came to the 'meat' of the matter, what's got the church in such a tiff, the jesus and mary chain if you will, these christian scholars felt free to state ' there is no scientific or historical proof that jesus was married to mary and had children. that is ridiculous'. this was there main point of opposition. this was disappointing because there has never been any scientific or historical 'proof' that jesus actually existed, was born to a virgin impregnated through divine intervention and was therefore the son of a god !!! much less went on to be married to mary, have kids, be crucified, etc.....it just seemed strange that they would use the same argument to deny jesus and mary's marriage that could (and has) been used to deny the validity of the bible and therefore (christianity being a faith based religion) christianity itself...

COMET TAILS: Fragment B is flying by Earth today, May 14th, only 6 million miles away. This makes it an easy target for backyard telescopes such as the 4-inch refractor Holloway used. Look for the comet around 4 o'clock in the morning in the constellation Cygnus.

Meteor shower sparks alarm

SOUTH-east Queensland residents have been startled by a bright, green ball of streaking light that initially sparked fears of a plane crash. A police spokeswoman said the suspected meteor was seen travelling east to west in the region from Bribie Island, across the Sunshine and Gold Coasts as far inland as Warwick. She said a Warwick farmer alerted police about 6.30pm (AEST) of what he thought was a "fire ball" from a plane crashing on his property. A search of the area found nothing. Police were then inundated by sightings of a "green ball of light".
 
Andre Claydon of the Springbrook Observatory near the Gold Coast said he had received scores of sightings of what he thought was a meteor shower from across the region. He said the meteor shower would have appeared much closer than it actually was. "As it comes in through our atmosphere we get a magnification effect so it always looks a lot closer but it is probably 60 to 70km inside our atmosphere," he said on ABC Radio. "I had a number of phone calls specifically from the eastern part of Australia regarding a meteor shower that has come through and broken up into a few pieces."
 
The Astronomical Association of Queensland's Peter Hall told ABC Radio: "It sounds like a meteor to me."Most of them are the size of a grain of sand but this one must have been larger."

EVER wanted to know what a fridge hurtling through the atmosphere at 57,000km/h looks like? Well, even if you haven’t, watch the skies tonight and you might be able to see. The huge fireball that swooped across the sky about 6.20pm on Tuesday was actually a refrigeratorsized hunk of comet, astronomer Andre Claydon said yesterday.
 
The Earth is passing through debris left by Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann which has broken up into about 64 pieces, said the director of observation at the Springbrook Observatory near the Gold Coast. Some of these pieces were hitting the atmosphere and would continue to create a spectacular light show for another five days. However, they were unlikely to be quite as incredible as Tuesday night’s meteor, which caused quite a stir across the region.

CANNES, France (AP) - The director huffed, offended believers protested, and the critics carped as The Da Vinci Code premiered and started its march around the world yesterday.
 
Ron Howard, who adapted Dan Brown's worldwide mega-selling novel to the big screen, had a suggestion yesterday for people riled by the way Christian history is depicted in the film: if you suspect the movie will upset you, don't go see it. Da Vinci opened at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday with a black-tie premiere that brought stars Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen and Paul Bettany onto Cannes' famous red carpet.
 
Beforehand, Howard answered questions about Da Vinci protests around the world - and also in Cannes, where a Roman Catholic nun wearing a brown habit kneeled and said a rosary at the foot of the red carpet, as well as in Paris, the setting of much of the book, where 200 Roman Catholics prayed and sang outside a theatre showing the film. "There's no question that the film is likely to be upsetting to some people," Howard said. "My advice, since virtually no one has really seen the movie yet, is to not go see the movie if you think you're going to be upset." "Wait. Talk to somebody who has seen it. Discuss it." "And then arrive at an opinion about the movie itself." "Again: this is supposed to be entertainment, it's not theology," he said.
 
The screen adaptation, like the novel, suggests Jesus Christ was married to Mary Magdalene and fathered a child. One reporter asked the cast if they believed Christ was married. Star Tom Hanks quipped: "Well, I wasn't around." Hanks said he had not felt pressure from religious groups. He added his religious heritage "communicates that our sins have been taken away, not our brains."
 
Christian groups from various countries, including South Korea, Thailand, India and France have protested against the movie, planning boycotts, a hunger strike and attempts to block or shorten screenings. In India, the government delayed the premiere, putting it on a temporary hold while it weighs complaints by Roman Catholic groups that want the film banned. A decision is not expected before Friday. Lobbyists in Thailand persuaded local censors to cut the final 10 minutes out of the film but the censors later reversed their position after Columbia Pictures appealed. Australian Christians bought cinema advertisements challenging the movie's plot. Hong Kong's Roman Catholic church has organized forums to "clarify the facts."

Nichola Goddard found joy in the small victories as Canadian soldier

Small victories were the ones that seemed to elicit the most excitement and the biggest smiles from Capt. Nichola Goddard, the first female Canadian soldier to die in front-line combat.

Whether it was successfully towing a gun up an impassable mountainside in the Rockies, the long-awaited completion of shower stalls at a remote outpost in Afghanistan, or - most importantly - being recognized as a Canadian by usually indifferent Afghans, each achievement meant a lot to Goddard. "It's been really positive going in and meeting people who obviously haven't talked to Canadian troops before and presenting why we're here," Goddard told The Canadian Press in an interview last month in Afghanistan.
 
Goddard, 26, of 1st Royal Canadian Horse Artillery based in Shilo, Man., was killed Wednesday in a battle with the Taliban just west of Kandahar. Born in New Guinea, the Calgary woman was married, with no children.
 
"We've accomplished a lot of things in this area and we got showers the other day, which was really exciting," Goddard said recently at Forward Base Robinson, in Sangin district, where Pte. Robert Costall was killed in late March.

Villagers and tribesmen in sun-baked Afghan hamlets often have trouble distinguishing one coalition country's soldier from another, describing them simply as "white guys with guns." It was that sort of stereotype that Goddard, an almost eight-year veteran of the army, enjoyed dispelling during visits with the locals. "They just see a bunch of people in uniform," she said. "But once we actually get in and start talking to them, they definitely know we're Canadians at the end of it and they definitely know what we're all about." It was making those kinds of inroads with Afghans that made serving in Afghanistan seem important and so satisfying to Goddard, she said. "It's nice for us if they know we're Canadians and we're proud of that obviously," she said with a wide, genuine smile.
 
Goddard's death devastated her friends and family back home. From her home base at CFB Shilo in Manitoba, Capt. Mark Batten remembered his friend fondly. "My best memory of Nichola is actually her smile," Batten said. "She's a great personal friend, had a bubbly personality, and I won't forget her smile."

Goddard, sitting in the back ramp of her specially outfitted light armoured vehicle last month, spoke enthusiatically about her time dealing with Afghan villagers over their security and agriculture concerns. She spoke with a precision and attention to detail that were the hallmarks of her job as leader of forward artillery unit. She helped to target the army's new M-777 howitzers by observing where the shells fell. Throughout her four years with the unit, Goddard took on a protective attitude towards the dozen or so troops under her command - referring to them in the interview as "her crew."

73P-C is the biggest and until now the sturdiest fragment of dying comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3. While other fragments fell apart in recent weeks, fragment C held together. The suddenly pinched shape may signal an overdue breakup.

An hourglass? Now this is an interesting development...
 
The Hourglass represents "time running out" which is the subject of my Chapter 13 - 11:11 where I show how I figured out that the 11:11 points to (in a couple of amazing ways) December 21, 2012 as the "end of time." This discovery was built upon Robert Bauval's connection of the Giza pyramids to Orion. This led to another discovery which I discuss in my Chapter 14 - ORION where I show that Orion is scientific evidence/proof of God's existence, by connecting my earlier discovery of representing The Mind / The Mind of God / The Way as a Box to the constellation of Orion as a Box, thus proving that the stars of Orion were specifically and purposely placed (by God). While I was thinking about the 'Box Concept' and reviewing the information in this book, I noticed something. What caught my attention was the picture that was created using just these points of the box: x, y, z, (x,y), (x,z), and (y,z). As you can see in the following diagram, the picture that is created resembles an Hour Glass. (Again bringing in the "Time Running Out / 11th Hour" connection as described in Chapter 13 - 11:11.)"

Is the fact that fragment C is beginning to take the shape of an hourglass another sign that time is running out?

The film, which earned an estimated $77 million since opening Friday, bowed at #1 on the box-office top 10. Based on the bestselling book by Dan Brown, "The Da Vinci Code" also pulled in $224 million worldwide, making it the top earner of the year so far — with the second largest worldwide opening of all time behind "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith," according to The Associated Press.

Meanwhile, the controversial adaptation of Dan Brown's best-selling novel brought in some 147 million dollars overseas, making the film Hollywood's biggest international opening ever, said distributor Columbia Pictures on Sunday. The previous record was last year's "Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" with 145 million dollars.
 
The film, upsetting many Christians with a fictional premise that Jesus Christ has a child with Mary Magdalene, marks the greatest commercial success for actor Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard. It seems that poor reviews about the film after its premiere in Cannes, France last week did not keep the audience away. Over 40 million copies of the novel has been sold so far worldwide.

Philip confirms that Isaiah 53 IS talking about Jesus

First the SOMETHING COMING? caught my eye. It made me think of the comet (even more so because of Eric Julien's May 25 date), but it also made me think of the 2nd Coming of Jesus which many believe is to happen in the very near future. Then I wondered what the number of the sunspot might be, and to my amazement, it could possibly be 888 which is a number that also connects to Jesus because JESUS = 888 in gematria. It will be very interesting to see if the sunspot referred to will be 888 and if it appears tomorrow on May 25th.

BANTUL, Indonesia (AP) - A powerful earthquake flattened homes and hotels in central Indonesia early Saturday as people slept, killing more than 3,000 and injuring thousands in the country's worst disaster since the 2004 tsunami.
   
The magnitude 6.2 quake struck at 5:54 a.m. near the ancient city of Yogyakarta, 400 kilometres east of the capital, Jakarta. It was centred about 10 km below the surface, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Activity picked up at nearby Mount Merapi, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and one geologist warned the temblor could spark a large eruption, although another downplayed those concerns.
 
"The numbers just keep rising," said Arifin Muhadi of the Indonesian Red Cross, adding that more than 3,400 people were hurt.

After I read Nate's email about May 31, I checked spaceweather.com which says that on May 31 the Earth will start passing by the dusty orbit of comet 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3. This debris field is what has been the concern of many as I have previously discussed.

DOUBLE COMET: Two comets flying in tandem through space? Believe it. Andrew Catsaitis of Mangrove Mountain, Australia, photographed the pair on May 31st: (picture) "What a spectacular sight," he says. Actually, we've seen these comets before. They're the biggest fragments of 73P/Schwassmann Wachmann 3, the famous crumbling comet that passed by Earth in mid-May. Comet 73P disppeared into the glare of the sun in late May, and now it's emerging again in southern skies--ideally placed for observers in, e.g., Australia and New Zealand.
 
The comet's main fragments (73P-B and C) are too dim to see with the naked eye, but they are easy targets for backyard telescopes. Look for them in the constellation Cetus (the Whale), which rises in the east a few hours before austral dawn: sky map.

  Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born Saturday evening -- via C-section, according to People magazine -- in Namibia where her famous parents had withdrawn for the birth, aided by considerable protection from the African country's government.
   
  As of Tuesday, the baby was reportedly in good health, though the family was yet to make a public appearance. The couple also have two adopted children, 4-year-old Maddox and 14-month-old Zahara.

  The Web site http://www.babynames.com lists Shiloh as a name that can apply to either a boy or girl. It also points out the famous Battle of Shiloh in 1862, a pivotal battle in the Civil War fought in southwestern Tennessee near a church named Shiloh.
   
  The child's middle name, Nouvel, most obviously translates from the French, meaning "new." If one were to take a literal approach to analyzing the entire name, Jolie and Pitt could appear exceedingly bold in dubbing their daughter the "new Messiah."
   
  Bruce Lansky, a self-described "baby name guru" and author of "100,000-plus Baby Names," says the name is "unusual without being silly."
   
  "What is interesting is Brad and Angelina went all the way to Namibia to have their baby girl and rather than choose a traditional African name to signify the birth -- like many thought they would -- they chose Shiloh, also meaning 'God is great' in Hebrew," Lansky said.
   
  Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt is only the latest instance of a unique name bestowed on a celebrity child. Lately, names rooted in Hebrew are all the rage.

I wrote him back and told him that I received my SWC 73 plate yesterday too (post #402). It was wrapped in a Lutheran newspaper called The Altamont Independent. As I looked through the newspaper I noticed that the area code of all the phone numbers was 618! I looked up Altamont, Illinois and found that not only is the area code 618, but it is located at 88.8°W.

• SOPHIE and SHILOH each contain 6 letters of which four are the same:

Graduate Surprises with Comments About Jesus
MONUMENT, Colo. (AP) - A high school graduate who used her commencement speech to urge families to learn about Jesus Christ has acknowledged said she did not tell school officials she planned to make the remarks.
 
Lewis-Palmer High School officials asked Erica Corder to tell the parents of other students that educators did not condone her remarks at the May 25 commencement. School officials said that would have been a violation of the Constitution.
 
In her part of the valedictorian speech, the 18-year-old Corder said, "If you don't already know (Jesus) personally, I encourage you to find out more about the sacrifice he made for you." Corder said she planned the remarks for months but did not tell school officials or the other 14 speakers, who had cooperated on drawing up a speech and who each took a part in presenting it. Corder went last. Corder did not include her comments about Jesus when they rehearsed in front of Principal Mark Brewer.
 
In an e-mail to parents, Corder said she may have offended some people but did not intend to. She said she was sorry she had not told the principal or other speakers of her plans, but she did not apologize for what she said. She told The Gazette in Saturday's editions she believed God had called on her to make the remarks. "I think he (God) just wanted to plant that seed, I guess," she said. She said she kept her plans secret so she would not have to disobey any instructions not to make her comments.
 
Lewis-Palmer School District Superintendent Dave Dilley said the district has no policy on commencement speeches but is considering whether it needs one.

As far as the 6-6-6 thing goes... I really do not know what the truth is about that. I do not like to rely on what other people interpret about it.
     
For example, I believe the 666 could relate to technology, which, I believe, is destroying us. Our technology has developed faster than our mentality, and I believe it will be our doom.
   
In English Gematria, where A=6, B=12, C=18 (skip of 6), COMPUTER = 666. I believe the computer is the symbol of our technology. In some ways it is great, but in many ways it is not.
 
We sit our children in front of the TV as babysitters because we are too busy / tired to give them our attention and love. And look what is on the TV / Computer Games / Internet - violence, killing, sex (I can't believe how graphic some of these shows are - on prime time television), etc. Look what our children are learning. And now that generation is having children. If they have not learned love, compassion, morals, and values from their parents, what are they going to teach their children?
   
Technology is chemically enhancing our foods, which is probably causing many of our cancers and illnesses. Technology is creating pollution and climate change. Technology is creating mass weapons of destruction.
 
How much more antichrist can you get than that?
